Super Snow Moon - Success

Well, after not having been willing to brave the very cold temperatures last month, this month's full moon, called a Super Snow Moon, provided me with a second chance to capture a rising moon over Manhattan. And, with the help from my friends at Adventures in Photography, I took that chance!

Frame by frame this is probably not my best work, mostly because of a lack of high quality gear (yeah yeah yeah, never the photographer) and the fact that the photos were taken about 25 miles away from Manhattan in order to achieve the large moon size effect. But it was good enough for a few stills plus a rather choppy time lapse video that you can find here. If I find the time then I will try to clean up the video. All in all, I am happy with the outcome, standing 3 hours in the cold for about 15 minutes of shooting was time well spent!
