About Me

I 2 1050.jpg

Hello to you,

A little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Germany (West) and I moved to the US in the mid 90s. I started to photograph in the early 90s with a small, fully manual, Minox camera with film, but due to more important life changes I put that hobby to rest, for the time being.

Yet, with the birth of my children in the early 2000s, I picked up the camera again, in form of a Canon Rebel, to document their childhood. Eventually, I switched to a digital camera and in 2009 began to take photography more seriously.

So far, I shot, and still shoot, mostly with my Canon cameras, T5i, T6i and 5D Mark III, and most recently the EOS R5, with Canon and Rokinon Glass. For my infrared photos, I use now a converted Canon T7i at 720 nm, previously I used Sony and Canon converted Point and Shoot cameras.

I hope to be able to capture many more beautiful pictures, but my time is limited as I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2011 and eventually I will have to put my cameras to rest, once again. Let's hope that will not happen any time soon!

Blessed be my wife as she let's me go to travel to all of these wonderful spots on this planet!
